Martin Hassid, né en 1992 à Colmar (FR), est un photographe vivant à Paris.
Alsacien de naissance et n’ayant quitté la région qu’après sa majorité, Martin
grandit au contact d’une nature généreuse et florissante. Cette dernière occupe donc une place centrale dans son travail.
Martin est autodidacte. Son parcours initial l’a orienté vers la kinésithérapie, une profession qu’il exerce au nord de Paris.
C'est au détour de voyages que Martin prendra goût à la photographie. Suite à son installation à Paris , il capturera de manière assidue les rues de la capitale, pour ensuite se consacrer exclusivement au paysage.
Martin aime à qualifier sa pratique photographique de prémonitoire. Prémonitoire, car une présence semble habiter ses images. A travers une étude approfondie de la nature, il est à la recherche de signes que chacun interprétera à sa guise.

Being native of a beautiful valley that he left only after he came of age, Martin grew up in close contact with a generous and flourishing natural environment. This experience holds a central role in his work.
Martin is a self-taught artist. His initial path led him to physiotherapy, a profession he still practices in the northern suburbs of Paris.
Martin’s photographic journey began through the lens of travel. After a period spent capturing the vibrant pulse of Paris’s streets, he turned his gaze exclusively toward the landscape.
He defines his practice as 'premonitory'—an exploration where every frame feels inhabited by an unseen presence. His work is a profound inquiry into the natural world, a quest for hidden signs and silent omens. He captures these fragments of a cryptic language, offering them as symbols for each viewer to decipher according to their own intuition.
